Reading lessons to be learnt
Two red cards and 6 yellows in 3 games suggests a worrying trend at the Albion.
When Di Matteo first arrived many comments were made about the spoiling tactics and niggly fouls that had started to creep into our game. At present our discipline record isn't looking that great.
We remember Albion self-destructing many times in the Mowbray era because of a failure to keep our heads at crucial times and giving away free-kicks or getting players sent off. We do not want a repeat of that.
Don't fall out with the boss
Good to see Koren getting over his sulky stage and putting in a star performance at last. Coming in at the eleventh hour to replace Slory left him with a chance to prove a point or two.
Plenty of attacking runs not getting picked up by the Reading defence caused trouble all afternoon and a well deserved goal to boot.
Kick the ball with both feet
Although Brunt was putting in some fine crosses on Saturday we still groan every time he has to cut inside to get onto his preferred left foot.
Without this constant adjustment Brunt's effectiveness would go through the roof.
So let's get him on the left... or better still Chris, do you some practice with your right foot.
Wake up Gianni
That's just not acceptable at any level in football. When the bloke in black blows the whistle the game has started!
