West Brom chase Carsley

Veteran midfielder Lee Carsley is reported to be high on Roberto Di Matteo's wanted list.

The Birmingham City player is supposedly not part of Alex McLeish's future plans and could be exiting the club. The Ipswich boss Roy Keane is also reported to be interested.

Carsley had a hell of a game against Liverpool last Monday, though his penalty box challenge led to the Ngog dive and subsequent penalty equaliser. His experience and commitment to the cause are sizable assets, but the rumour that McLeish would be hoping to land Graham Dorrans in an exchange deal sends the VitalWBA alarm bells ringing.
