Preview - Fulham v West Brom

The Christmas period has been one of immense disappointment for Baggies fans and players alike. Performances have been very good but results have been poor. Albion have simply not got what they deserved and to boot they have lost vital players to injury or suspension. It remains to be seen who Di Matteo will plump for in the centre of defence as the three main central defenders are missing. My guess is that Jara will partner Scharner in the centre with Zuiverloon coming in at right back.

Fulha have also been disappointing of late having slipped into the relegation zone and they will be looking at this game as one in which they should be making ground on the teams above them. With Albion having so many injury problems it couldn't be a better time for Fulham to face them.

Chris Brunt's thoughts:

'We are down to the bare bones but we've got to dig in because I'm sure a lot of the other teams will be the same, especially with the number of games coming in a short space of time. It is going to be a tough game.

ulham have always had a good home record but there is no reason why we can't go there and get a result.

We are looking forward to tonight and hopefully we can turn things around.'

Fulham Team News:

David Stockdale will be playing in goal and one time Albion target Dembele is likely to return from injury.

Player to watch: Andy Johnson

Fulham front man Andy Johnson is still to sparkle since returning from injury but Albion have a habit of re-igniting opposition players' careers.

West Brom Team News:

Pablo, Olsson and Tamas are all missing but Jara returns following suspension. Reid is likely to be out for six weeks with torn knee cartilage.

Player to watch: Chris Brunt

Brunt hasn't scored one of his blockbuster efforts in a while and tonight could be the night.

Match Facts & Stats

West Brom have won 14 times at Craven Cottage and lost 15 times out of a total of 36 games.

Ref Watch:

Martin Atkinson is the man in charge and he is usually a very fair referee.

Match Prediction:

2-2

Next Fixtures:

An away trip to Reading awaits the Baggies on Saturday followed by a visit of Blackpool on 15 January.
