Horsfield decided that the move was better for him as it relocating back to where it all started for him.
Horsfield will be missed at the Albion and was a fan favourite. A fully commited individual who wore his heart on his sleeve.
Striking options at Albion seem to be getting smaller and smaller with Horsfield joining Rob Earnshaw through the Baggies exit door.
Horsfield said of the move when speaking to Skysports, 'They're an up and coming side. They're flying in The Championship. It's a great club, great fan base and they have a good manager as well,' said Horsfield.
'He's very persistent. He's been chasing me for three to four years. He's finally got me and I'm delighted to sign.
'We've got some fantastic strikers as we've just signed Ade. We've also got Bruce Dyer, Shipperley and Webber, so it's going to be hard to get into the side.
'I've always been from a working background. I've always worked. I always give 100 percent when I pull the shirt on, no matter what shirt it is.
'I'm a Yorkshire lad, born and bred. I've been away nearly seven years so I'm delighted to come back here and live nearer my family.
'I've had four promotions now so I've got vital experience to pass onto the lads. Hopefully I can pass it on and get the results we want.'
Good luck Geoff
