Gera named in Team of the Week

ZOLTAN Gera`s two-goal performance in West Bromwich Albion`s 4-2 victory over Charlton Athletic on Saturday has earned him a place in the Football League`s official Championship Team of the Week.

The Hungarian international scored in the 50th and 80th minutes to add to his first League goal of the season in the 2-1 win over Leicester City the week before.

He also set up Roman Bednar`s 43rd minute strike with a precise pass that ripped open the Charlton defence.

Gera becomes the eighth Albion player to be nominated for the team, which brings together the 11 top performing players from the weekend`s games.

Former Baggies striker Lee Hughes, now turning out for ambitious Oldham Athletic, earned a place in the League One Team of the Week for his hat-trick performance in his side`s 3-2 win at Millwall.
