West Brom's on loan striker Roman Bednar is hoping that he can earn himself a permanent move to the Hawthorns.
The Czech striker was signed on a season long loan from Hearts on transfer deadline day but with Ishmael Miller and Kevin Phillips in fine form, not to mention a back injury that sidelined him for a while, he had to wait until Wednesday to make his full debut.
He marked this with two goals, which pleased him greatly and he is now looking to further make his mark as he looks to earn the permanent move that he has already said that he wants: "I am very happy.
"It's been difficult but the team helped me and I played well. I hope my future is in England.
"My contract is here till summer and maybe West Brom will want to buy me.
"I just need to keep playing and see what happens.
"The team has been playing well but this is my chance so I want to keep going now. I will do my best and try to help us win."
His two goals on his full debut against Plymouth will have helped his course, so providing he keeps banging them in during the season and an agreement can be reached he has every chance of making the switch permanent.
