No Bid For Winger

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray has denied any talk of a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur winger Wayne Routledge.

Routledge, 22 has been a target by the Hawthorns club during the summer whilst Sheffield United have recently been linked to the former Crystal Palace man.

However the transfer window is now closed but clubs can bring in new players on loan; despite this Mowbray has no intention of making a move.

'I do not know where that story has come from,' said Mowbray.

'Routledge was a player we talked about two months ago, but it never materialised and we moved on.'
