Quashie rumours grow
Today's News of the World have linked Albion to Southampton defensive midfielder Nigel Quashie.
Rumours have been growing all week that Albion are in talks with the Scotland International but nothing has been officially confirmed by either club.
Southampton boss George Burley did however confirm that Quashie has been in talks with a 'Premier League' club this past week.
It is believed that Albion have agreed a fee in the region of £1 million and they are hoping to agree personal terms with the player in time for him to be part of the squad for the trip to Charlton on Tuesday evening.
Quashie has been linked with his old manager Harry Redknapp's club Portsmouth and Middlesbrough in the last couple of weeks however it looks likely that the player will be joining Albion becoming the second midfielder to join the club in the past week.
