Brunt To Repay Baggies Boss

Brunt To Repay Baggies Boss

Former Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday winger Chris Brunt is eager to impress Albion boss Tony Mowbray after he completed his move last Thursday.

Brunt is currently serving a three match ban and will miss the Baggies trip to Sheffield this Saturday when they face former boss Bryan Robson at Bramall Lane.

Brunt said: 'West Brom have shown a lot of faith in me by paying the fee that Wednesday asked for, and I'm just glad to be here. Hopefully I can start repaying it as soon as possible'

The former Boro Winger missed the 2-0 victory over Preston and his place was taken up by Ishmael Miller who turned down a move to Hillsborough and subsequently netted a debut goal.

'I could have gone to Preston, Hull or Sheffield Wednesday,' revealed Miller, 'but West Brom was my number one choice'

He's a very good signing for you, I am surprised the Owls sold him to another championship club.
