Greening Nets Albion Deal

Former Manchester United and Middlesbrough Midfielder Jonathan Greening has agreed a deal to remain with West Bromwich Albion for a further three years.

Greening, 28 has committed himself to a three-year deal at the Hawthorns with the op0tion to extend this by a further 12 months in the clubs' favour.

The former Manchester United trainee has been a regular in the Baggies line-up ever since his move from Middlesbrough three years ago - and to date has made 130 appearances for the club.

Albion boss Tony Mowbray told the club's official website: 'I'm delighted Jonathan's committed his future to the club.

'At a time when things are changing around, it's great that a quality footballer has expressed a desire to remain here and hopefully help the club be successful.

'Jonathan possesses great quality on the ball and versatility with the amount of positions he can play.

'He's a joy to work with. He endeavours to do whatever you ask of him.

'Even when we've asked him to fill in at right-back, there were no complaints. He just got on with it.'

Come on guy's, let Davies go. He showed loyalty last season when he could have gone, £10m is asking too much for a player that's not even a full international

If Davies is going anywhere it will be to Villa.... surely we have to sign a defender before the season starts? Its gettin desperate!
