Albrechtsen In Hawthorns Exit

West Bromwich Albion defender Martin Albrechtsen has threatened to leave the Hawthorns if the Championship club doesn't win promotion to the Premiership via the Play-Offs.

The Baggies are set to do battle with local rivals Wolverhampton for a place in the Play-Off final at Wembley, a successful two game encounter against the Molineux club will see them play either Derby County or Southampton.

But, despite possible mouth watering fixtures against Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and local derbies at Aston Villa and Birmingham City the Dane has hinted that he would like to leave.

However, he has suggested that he may well stay should the club be successful in their Play-Off plight;

'I don't have a buy out option in my contract, but as the situation is now I would like to try something new.' Albrechtsen told Ekstra Bladet. 'In case we get promoted, my stance might change.'

I agree dazednconfuzed; "I'll only play for you if you are in the Prem" it is like Sol Campbell when he said: "I want to leave Arsenal and play abroad."
