'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Robinson Overlooked?

Bryan Robson has spoken in glowing terms about left back Paul Robinson and feels that he has been overlooked by Sven and the England set up because of the Baggies poor form.

Robson believes Robinson is a match for any left back in the Premiership saying: 'When I saw Ashley Cole injured, I looked at Paul as a left-footed player and he is as good as anyone in the Premiership at left-back.'

However, as a part of a defence that have conceded 16 goals, his England claims have been 'hindered'.

'Paul is a defender and it's a fact that we have conceded more goals than anyone else. Sometimes people ignore individual players because they just look at the league table. But since I've been at this club Paul Robinson has been in excellent form. He's done everything I have asked of him and he is a good player.'
