Koumas sits out Cup

Jason Koumas has been ruled out of Cardiff's FA Cup tie with Arsenal this weekend by Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace.

Baggies chairman Peace stated that they did not want Koumas to be cup tied for any future games in the FA Cup and put off any suitors for the Welshman.

Peace said, 'We're more than happy to sell Jason to Cardiff in line with the terms of the deal we agreed with them in the summer,' explained chairman Jeremy Peace.

'Jason would then be free to play for them in the FA Cup. Until such an agreement has been reached with Cardiff, we will not grant him permission to play in the competition.

'Should another club be prepared to pay the same price for Jason, we will then be happy to discuss a deal with them.'

Koumas has impressed with Cardiff and I am sure that other teams out there will make their interest known if the Welsh club drag their feet with any potential offer.
