Instant Reactions - West Brom v Chelsea (18/11/17)

Following yesterday's clash between West Bromwich Albion and Chelsea, here are the instant reactions from both managers.

West Bromwich Albion hosted Chelsea at The Hawthorns for a 3pm kick off on Saturday November 18, and the visitors took a comprehensive four nil victory with a brace from Eden Hazard. Alvaro Morata opened the scoring and Marcos Alonso added a third before Hazard completed his double.

West Brom:

Foster, McAuley, Evans, Hegazi, Phillips (McClean 84), Livermore, Barry, Krychowiak (Yacob 45), Gibbs, Rondon, Rodriguez (Burke 70).

Nyom, Robson-Kanu, Brunt, Myhill.

Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill, Zappacosta, Fabregas (Drinkwater 67), Kante (Willian 77), Bakayoko, Alonso, E Hazard (Pedro 71), Morata.

Caballero, Rudiger, David Luiz, Ampadu.

Speaking to the BBC's cameras a short time after match day referee Jonathan Moss blew the final whistle, West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis explained about the speculation surrounding his future.

'No, not at all. If the club decide what they decide, I've got great respect for the football club, the supporters, the chairman, the board - it's just life. It's the way it is. If you don't get results, you're under pressure.'

He went on to add.

'Our defending for all of the goals was really poor. Against the top teams, you have to defend better than that. It leaves me in the position I was in before the game. The board of directors will decide what they have to do. I have been in this position before. It's up to them. I feel for the players. They have worked hard but they have made basic mistakes. I spoke to the owners yesterday; they are really decent people. It's not about them, it's about what's best for the football club. That is more important than anybody. It's a decision they have to make. I'll keep ploughing along if they want me to do.'

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte in his comparitive interview explained.

'Tony Pulis is a really good manager with great experience. He was the manager of many teams and his team is very difficult to face, always. The game became easy but it wasn't. From the start of the season, there has been a lot of pressure on us, never mind Tony Pulis. Every team has pressure. They are a good team and they can find the right solution. Morata and Hazard have a great link. They are now 100% fit. It is easy to forget that we started the season without Hazard.'
