Rodriguez Enjoying West Brom Life
Striker and summer signing Jay Rodriguez has said he's loving life at West Bromwich Albion following his arrival from Southampton.
The 28 year old more than showed what he was capable of at St Mary's and got himself into the thoughts of the England set up with his form, but then he suffered a serious knee injury which held him up. Having returned to fitness he found opportunities more limited and needed to move on for a fresh start and it was destination Hawthorns on that score.
Whilst he's still adjusting to life at West Brom, he is one of two players to star all seven league and cup games for Tony Pulis so far this season - Craig Dawson being the other - and he told wba.co.uk that he felt he was now improving again as a player with the game time he's getting and how comfortable he feels in the set up.
He already has two goals to his name as well.
'It's been very easy to settle in from the first day, the lads have made me feel really welcome and it was so good to feel that. Just to get to work with the lads has been amazing so far and I'm really enjoying myself.'
He went on to say that he felt fans would soon see even more from him as he continues to develop within the group.
'To play games consistently, to feel important and to keep improving as a player is the main aim for myself. As long as I keep working hard and that consistently is there then I feel I will improve. It's been great, I've really enjoyed it so far and I've only just started.'
'If you stop learning football I think that's when you finish and you can't carry on improving. For me, you've got to keep taking in as much as you can - learning, improving every day in training. Definitely I'm improving.'
