Pleat On His Way?

Pleat On His Way?

There is a good chance that David Pleat could become West Brom`s Technical Director after it emerged that he had held talks with the club.

Chairman Jeremy Pearce wanted to appoint a Sporting director to work with the new manager when Bryan Robson was sacked from the club earlier in the season.

Now it is believed that Pearce is looking to recruit Pleat as that man after his job as consultant to Colin Calderwood at

Nottingham Forest may have helped them into top place in league one.

If Pleat was to come to the Hawthorns, his job would be to develop the football side of the club so that the manager could give his full concentration to team affairs.

Pleat has had similar roles at both Tottenham and Portsmouth.
