Unlucky Albrechtsen loses out

Bryan Robson has explained to Albion fans the reason why Albrechtsen has started the last two games from the bench in an interview on the official site.

Robson said, 'Martin Albrechsen is unlucky he's not in the team because he has played exceptionally well this season.'

Albrechtsen has missed out on a starting place in the last two games to Geordie Steve Watson. Watson signed on a free transfer during the summer from Everton has impressed at full back in the last two games.

When asked why Watson had been given the nod ahead of the Dane Robson said, 'Steve's just got that little bit more experience and know-how on the ball. That's why Steve is getting in ahead of Martin.'

Albrechtsen who replaced Watson in last weeks win against Manchester City will be hoping that his performances from the bench will help him find a way back into the first team.
