'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mowbray Happy With Win.

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray was left in no doubt that his side were well worthy of the three points they picked up in the 3-0 win against Burnley at the weekend.

Before Saturday the Baggies had gone five games without a win, but goals from Jason Koumas, Nathan Ellington and Darren Carter had the game wrapped up by the half time whistle.

Speaking to the club`s official website Mowbray said: 'I've been sitting here for the last few weeks saying we didn't get what we deserved. I feel we did today.

'In the first half we created chances and today (Saturday) they went in, as opposed to us creating chances and hitting the woodwork or the keeper making saves, which is what has happened in previous games.

'When you get off to a start like that, with two goals in the opening seven minutes, you've got a fair chance of winning the football match. I thought the second half was a professional performance.

'We kept the ball for spells and got the job done against, looking at statistics, a Burnley team who had only lost one in eight and had hardly conceded a goal in that spell."
