Rumour has it that West Brom are monitoring Trinidad and Tobago International Carlos Edwards. Midfielder Edwards is currently plying his trade at Luton Town in the Championship after signing for the Hatters six months ago from Wrexham. During his time with Luton 27 year old Edwards has impressed with a number of eye catching performances for the Championship club as they sit sixth in the League.
Edwards is not getting carried away with the speculation and is keeping his feet firmly on the ground. When asked about the rumours Edwards said: 'If you play well when people are watching, their interest will grow - but I'm not getting carried away by the rumours, because I'm contracted to Luton for three years. If a bid comes in and the club accept it, it's a different story and we will talk about it, but at the moment I'm happy playing for Luton.'
Albion have already raided Luton once this season for England Under 21 International defender Curtis Davies. Davies has been a regular in the side since his move from Town and he has been a major force in Albion’s ever improving performances.
Only time will tell if Albion’s interest is more than pure speculation, but one thing is for sure if Edwards’ move is as successful as his former team mates then West Brom fans will be more than happy with him joining the club.
