Beeby Refs WBA v Burnley Clash

Unless there is a late change, the referee for this Saturday`s match with Burnley will be Richard Beeby of Northamptonshire.

The last time Beeby took charge of a Baggies game was in September 2005 when he officiated the game at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland. The game ended 1-1 with Gary Breen putting the Black Cats in front on seven minutes before Zoltan Gera grabbed a last minute equaliser.

Three players were booked that afternoon, all for West Brom, Kamara, Robinson and Watson being the recipients.

This season Beeby has been in charge of 16 games and in that time has dished out 50 yellow cards and four red. He has managed one game without showing a card while his record shown in one game is six yellows and a red in the game between Hull City and Sunderland.

Just over 3 yellows a game. I wonder how that compares with other refs. Perhaps soemone could compile a refs League.
