Three Return Ahead Of Cardiff

Three Return Ahead Of Cardiff

Head coach Pepe Mel has been boosted by the news that three players have returned to training ahead of the game this weekend against Cardiff City.

Gareth McAuley looks like he may recover in time from the swollen ankle he suffered in the game against Hull City, and we have also seen the return of fellow centre half Diego Lugano to training after he suffered a knee ligament problems whilst on international duty.

Finally, Morgan Amalfitano who was also sidelined with a knee injury, has returned to the training pitch after missing our last two matches.

The game will however come too soon for Billy Jones and Claudio Yacob, and it looks increasingly likely that Victor Anichebe's hamstring problem from our former game will also keep him out.

Albion will definitely be without Jonas Olsson who will miss the game through his final match suspension, and Chris Brunt remains out with his knee problem.
