Jones Focused On Survival

Jones Focused On Survival

Right back Billy Jones has said his main focus in on helping Albion secure their Premiership safety and that comes above his own contract negotiations.

The 26 year old has been in talks with the club for a while now as his contract runs out at the end of this campaign, but speaking to the E&S he explained that of far more importance was focusing on our league form and getting us out of the hole that the players have dug for themselves this season with results.

'To be honest, at the moment it's all about concentrating on my football. That's all that matters for me. I'm just concentrating on playing as well as I can for West Brom and within the team and picking up as many points as we can from now to the end of the season. We're desperate to stay in the league and to do that we have to all pull in the same direction.'

Jones goes on to say that the contract negotiations will continue in the background with him and his representatives, but he knows he can't allow himself to be sidetracked because there are far more important things to deal with at the moment as we have some very big games coming up, and we have games that are quickly becoming must win for us.
