Special Goal For Anichebe

Special Goal For Anichebe

Today was a doubly good day for striker Victor Anichebe, he helped earn Albion a point by scoring against his boyhood rivals.

Anichebe's Everton history is well documented, and whilst speaking to wba.co.uk and repeating his loyalties are with us now, and of course the importance of the goal for him and the club - he couldn't deny it was a sweet moment to find the net against Liverpool.

'It's always nice to score but it makes it that extra bit sweeter against Liverpool. I was at Everton for a long time and it was nice to help the today. Of course it means something but now it's more important to help West Brom. The team fought well today.'

Anicehebe did joke in his after match interviews that he received a text message from an Everton direction asking him for a favour over Liverpool, but he knows how important the draw was for Albion given how results went yesterday.
