Reid Looking Forward To Right Back Challenge

Reid Looking Forward To Right Back Challenge

Steven Reid has said he's looking forward to rekindling his rivalry with Billy Jones for the right back spot this coming season.

The 32 year old put pen to paper on a new 12 month contract last month, and again heaped praise on Jones for his continued development since joining the club.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Reid said he hoped that the healthy competition between them would again push them both on to produce good and consistent performances this coming campaign.

'Over the last couple of seasons we seem to have worked quite well. When I've been injured Billy has played and vice versa. He's stepped up to the Premier League easily, which is not an easy thing to do. Last season he was superb.'

Reid adds that hopefully both of them can have an injury free season as he knows each of them have their parts to play in hopefully, bettering our league finish again this coming term.
