'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mulumbu Also On Clarke's Contract List

Youssouf Mulumbu is another player that Steve Clarke wants to tie down to a long term deal, despite having effectively two years left on his current deal.

After recently tying down Jonas Olsson and James Morrison, and being in the process of trying to secure Shane Long's long term future, Clarke also wants to tie down the 26 year old midfielders future.

'Youssouf has been excellent for us since I have been here and is one of the players we want to keep. I think come the summer the ones that we have to keep, that I want to keep, will still be at the club.'

Mulumbu will again no doubt be subject to interest and rumours as he is every season, so no doubt the contract extension will also be designed to quell such speculation.
