Lukaku Return Not Ruled Out

Lukaku Return Not Ruled Out

Neither Steve Clarke nor Romelu Lukaku have ruled out a return for the player next season, but ultimately it's in Chelsea's hands.

Speaking to the Express and Star about what may happen next season, the striker said.

'It's out of my hands now. I will go on the internationals, go on holiday, come back and train hard and then go to pre season with Chelsea. We will see what happens, this club will always have a place in my heart.'

Steve Clarke added that whilst he expects him to figure for Chelsea next season, if the option for a loan is available, he hopes we have a good chance of enticing him back.

'If Chelsea decide to let him out again, I hope we have got a really good chance of bringing him back here.'

I can't really see it myself unfortunately, surely he has to figure for Chelsea next term, even if not as a regular starter, just as somebody who regularly comes off the bench to help change games for them.
