8th Is The Aim For Clarke

8th Is The Aim For Clarke

Steve Clarke has said he believes we need a few more points to cement our 8th place finish in the league.

And with four games to go, that's exactly what he aims to achieve with the team this term.

Speaking to wba.co.uk ahead of the Wigan game, the head coach said.

'There are still two or three teams below us that can catch us so we can't afford to switch off. We have to cement eighth position and we'll probably need a further three or four points to do that. That's the focus. We have our own ambitions and targets.'

Clarke says that we showed against Southampton and Arsenal that we can acquit ourselves well both when the pressure is on and when the pressure is off, and this weekend will be no different with Wigan despite for the points to lift them to safety.
