I Want To Return With A Bang

Zoltan Gera has said he is hoping to return from injury with a bang like he did last time round, and admitted he was delighted to bag Goal of the Season for his strike against Liverpool.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after picking up the gong, Gera said he was hoping to return with exactly the same kind of impact next season when he's back up to speed.

'It was a perfect start to the season, it seems a long time ago now. For me it was excellent because I'd been out for a long time. I came back in the first game and couldn't imagine a better one. Hopefully when I come back again I can score another one.'

Despite only making 18 appearances this season before falling foul of injury, Gera has said he has been utterly delighted with the attitude and the performance of the team this season.

'I'm proud of the team, it's been a great season. We've never been in a better position in the Premier League and I'm very proud.'

That goes for quite a few thousand fans as well I would imagine.
