Odemwingie - The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Peter Odemwingie has again taken to Twitter to blast the club after being on the bench again.

'Keeping me on the bench now is worst than what they did on the 31st. New advisors told me to take say its all my fault cos its better or me. If they like they shouldn't even give me 10 mins to play. Threatening to ruin my career? Career I closed already last summer? No harm to me. Has anyone seen me give interview to clubs website for a year now ? What about an interview in match day magazine ? I am on my own there.'

I'll let others decipher that as they see fit.

Suffice to say does he really expect Club sponsored PR opportunities after his behaviour? Are there still fans who want to hear him speak?

As for playing time, 23 minutes against Stoke, 10 against Swansea, 28 against Chelsea, 3 against Sunderland. You could argue that Steve Clarke was bringing him back into the team properly depending on how a game was going.

You do wonder if that's the last we'll see of him now.

Other gems apparently include.

'Former Albion sporting director in the presence of the new and Manager apologised to me in private. Publicly not good ?'

'Drive was lunacy ? Missing in the training section that day also lunacy? They forgot to complain about that though cos they knew were I was.'

'Things have almost got back to normal till Peter spoilt it again. What's normal ? We see things differently obviously.'

'Want to treat me like an average player. The abuse and praise I get is it average ? So get some extra from me too.'

'1senior player in presence of the captain and few other seniors last season. 40 a week. If he s on that I should be on 80.# talksbehindback'

'yes I am not at peace. Took steroid injections numerous times when team needed me back quick. Commitment still in doubt.'

Reading round the press a bit more, it appears he also received a tweet from a fan who said he should be sacked, to which Odemwingie replied with 'that's my wish'.

Case closed then, he's under contract until 2014 and on a point of principle he certainly should not have his contract terminated. However he should not be welcome at the training ground, and he shouldn't even be relegated to training with the youth team as his attitude would not help them.

Don't let the gates hit you on the way out.

The club have also released a very brief statement.

"The club are aware of what Peter has said and we will deal with it internally."

Just leaves you shaking your head at some of what he says. I wouldn't have him with the kids though, not with that attitude. He can train at home if he wants, he should be nowhere near club property.
