Gera Takes Thorne Under His Wing

Gera Takes Thorne Under His Wing

Zoltan Gera has said he will give George Thorne all the support he needs as he recovers from his cruciate ligament injury, saying the biggest battle will be in his head.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Gera said of the young midfielder.

'I will have lots of time to push him because we will work together. I don't worry about George because he is a good professional. It's not good to have another player injured, but if you're working together you can push each other and I'm sure it will be good to work with George. We will get a race to see who comes back earlier!'

Explaining further that the worst part is the mental battle you have with yourself when out injured for that long, but having gone through this before, he believes he can definitely help make that easier for George.
