McAuley Delighted With Liverpool Goal
Gareth McAuley has said he was delighted to bag the opener in the Liverpool game, but admits he might now be in the dog house with his mum.
Speaking to wba.co.uk following the much needed victory McAuley was delighted on the night, but did admit his family are mostly Liverpool fans, they might not have been cheering him on.
'It was especially nice to score here because it's the club my family support. I'll give my mum a call but I don't know if she'll speak to me. Half my family support Liverpool, the other half Everton, and I've scored against both now!'
McAuley was also full of praise for the coaches and the homework they had done, as they had worked on that type of corner and his run in training.
