Gera Blow For Clarke

Gera Blow For Clarke

Zoltan Gera will now miss the rest of the season as he needs to undergo knee surgery after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

The injury was sustained in the FA Cup match against QPR.

The 33 year old following the operation will be expected to be out for six to nine months as he recovers.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Steve Clarke said.

'I've devastated for Zoltan. He's a terrific guy and professional and I want to thank him for his contribution this season, it has been invaluable. He'll now get our full support during the rehab process. Zoltan has already proved he can come back from this injury once and produce at the highest level and I have no doubts he will do so again.'
