Clarke - Late Arrival Wasn't An Issue

Steve Clarke has said Albion's team bus getting caught in traffic had no affect on the team prior to the QPR game...obvious really, we did win.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the victory, Clarke said the 15 minute kick off delay did help us to get settled, but it was no big deal really.

'We did point out to the Premier League that if there was going to be traffic chaos in another part of London for Arsenal against West Ham, there might be traffic chaos in West London with the shopping centre and getting to Loftus Road, but they said we had to play. It took us an hour to travel five miles from our hotel to the Stadium! But the preparation for the game had already been done and my players know their jobs, they knew what they had to do. Kick off was delayed by 15 minutes which helped us a little bit, but it certainly didn't affect our performance and it wasn't a big issue.'

As for our injury worries following the game, Clarke said it was a little too early to assess the damage to Jonas Olsson, Goran Popov and Youssouf Mulumbu but they will be looked at over the coming days with one eye on the trip to Old Trafford on Saturday.
