'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Brunt - Goal Was Long Overdue

Chris Brunt has admitted his first league goal of the season has taken long enough to arrive, but he hopes it will now be the first of many.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the 2-1 win over QPR the midfielder said.

'It has been a frustrating season for me as I've been in and out of the team with injuries. I've had a few games recently but a goal has been a long time coming and I'm delighted to have got one. Obviously, getting the three points is the main thing but I'm pleased I got a goal.'

Brunt admitted Albion getting back on track over the last three games had been huge following our blip.

'We went off track a little bit with three successive defeats but now we're unbeaten in three and we've won the last two. It's very important in this league to pick up back to back wins. We showed that we're a good bunch of lads that work hard for each other week in,week out.'
