Morrison & Foster's Other Foot

Steve Clarke has said that James Morrison missed the Southampton game after picking up a training ground injury, and also that Ben Foster was using his weaker foot after a warmup twang.

Speaking to wba.co.uk the head coach said firstly of Morrison.

'Morrison picked up a little niggle in the week in training and we decided not to risk him. We had Claudio coming back and Youssouf and Zolly were good options in midfield. We've got a run of difficult games coming up and we're trying as much as possible to use the squad and make sure everyone is in good shape.'

As for Ben Foster, he added.

'Ben felt something in the warm up and decided he would kick mainly with his weaker foot, which worked ok. We never considered changing Ben.'
