Some Good News Ahead Of Southampton

Steve Clarke believes Shane Long and Claudio Yacob are 50/50 for the Southampton game, but Billy Jones and Chris Brunt are back.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Clarke said firstly on Long and Yacob.

'For us, we're doing as we have done with Shane over the last couple of weeks. We're managing him between games and trying to get him fit for Monday. He joined in training today and fingers crossed he'll be okay. Yacob has had a good week of rehabilitation. He joined in a part session this morning and we'll have to monitor him again tomorrow to see how he's come through that session. But he was back on the training pitch, so injury wise we're looking okay.'

Steven Reid won't be back in time, but Billy Jones has already been passed fit and it's expected that Chris Brunt will also be in contention for the game.
