Foster - We Missed Yacob Against Newcastle

Foster - We Missed Yacob Against Newcastle

Ben Foster has said that Claudio Yacob was missed against Newcastle.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Ben Foster said that whilst competition for places meant nobody was a dead cert to start, Claudio was the exception because of what he brings to the team.

'We've got competition all over the pitch, there's not one position that's guaranteed and that's fantastic for the team. Everybody raises the standards even more, if you're not performing 100% there is somebody waiting to take the position off you. I have said there is nobody who can be guaranteed first team football, but that is probably apart from Claudio. He has been absolutely immense.'

Yes he has been, but Gera did a good job against Newcastle and I do think we have got decent cover regardless, the only thing missing in reality against Newcastle was the ability to finish them off or get that goal buffer.
