'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cruel Result - Clarke

Steve Clarke has said he would've been disappointed had we only got a point today, so to walk away with nothing was particularly galling.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the 2-1 loss, our head coach said of the game.

'A point was the least we deserved - if not all three. We were in good shape, we bossed the game, controlled it well, played some terrific football and created some good chances. To finish with nothing is really hard to take. It's a sore way to lose a match, even if we had taken a point, I'd have been disappointed, so you can imagine how we all feel after losing.'

Despite the result, Clarke couldn't fault the effort or the desire of the players today.

'Once again we showed today we're a good team. I told the players they should be proud of their display. I'm certainly proud of them. But at the moment it just hurts.'
