No Brainer On New Contracts

No Brainer On New Contracts

Steve Clarke has said it was a no brainer when he was asked by the club if they should tie James Morrison and Jonas Olsson to new contracts.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail after Olsson's recent contract extension, Clarke said.

'I think he's done what he should have done. He's seen a new manager come in, had a look how pre season goes, how our relationship is, how the team starts and he's decided this is where he wants to be. The club asked me what I thought 'should we offer them (Olsson and Morrison) new deals?' and the answer was easy.'

Clarke explained that whilst it was important to bring some fresh faces in, it was also equally important to keep our best players with us.
