Popov Looking Forward To Home Bow
Goran Popov has said the Albion fans sounded like there were 50,000 of them at Villa Park, so he can't wait to experience The Hawthorns.
Speaking to wba.co.uk after completing his debut for the club, he clearly wants more pitch time and the chance to impress.
'I'm looking forward to playing at home because the fans will be even louder. It's a big stadium and they made a lot of noise which was great for us, it sounded like 50,000. We should thank them for their support as it's very important to us that they got behind us.'
As for the result of the derby, Popov like others had to admit to disappointment at not taking all 3 points as he believes our performance more than merited it.
'It was good to get 90 minutes, now I'm fit but I'm a little disappointed because we didn't win. I hope we will now be ready to take 3 points from our next game. I can see from the way we played in the first three or four games that we have a really good team and maybe we can do something this season.'
