'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Yacob Thanks Fans

Claudio Yacob has said the fans put the 'boing boing' into his step from the moment he joined the club.

Speaking to wba.co.uk in his first proper interview since joining the club on a free this summer, Yacob said his welcome by both the club and the fans couldn't have been any better as he settled into his new life.

'What's really helped me is feeling so comfortable and so at home within the club from the moment I arrived, everyone has helped me to feel very welcome. Obviously, without being able to speak the language, that has been a very important factor, but you don't need to be able to speak English to understand the 'boing boing' and I hope there will be lots of 'boing boinging' going on this season! Even without understanding the language, I have felt warmth from the supporters and the staff, and at the moment, I don't need the words to feel that I've been made very welcome.'

Following his first few performances for us Yacob could turn out to be an absolute steal, as you'd imagine as he gets to grips with the language more we'll see an upturn in his performances.
