Long Shane Silver
Shane Long has praised his lucky beard for his form so far this season, as he doesn't believe it was a coincidence that his form dipped against Spurs because he had a shave.
Ok fair enough, but I think I've now heard everything - somebody get him a Parrot for Christmas!
Speaking to wba.co.uk Long said of his season so far.
'It's a bit of luck. I felt like I played really well in the first game, shaved for the second game and didn't feel I played so well, but having a beard is more laziness than anything.'
Long continues to give a bit of an insight into Steve Clarke's style and it appears off the cuff honesty is his way.
'He says what needs to be said. He's quiet enough at times but if anything needs saying, he says it. He gives a speech, a few words of wisdom, but he keeps it calm, everyone is calm beforehand.'
