'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Olsson Worries

Steve Clarke has no problems with Jonas Olsson giving his all for the team, even if he doesn't sign a new contract.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Clarke said the club were negotiating over a new deal, but he believes both parties respect the position of the other.

'Jonas has a year left and the club are negotiating with him. He can choose to sign a new one, or he can turn it down. We respect that and I think he respects our stance as well. He's a top professional, you see the way he performs on the pitch. If he chooses to turn the contract down, I've got no worries about him performing, absolutely none.'

Hopefully he will sign an extension as he's a big player, in all respects, for us at the back and as we continue to improve stability will be key.
