Clarke Looking For Belated B'day Gift From Squad

Steve Clarke expects a tough match against Everton given how they have started the season, but is hoping the team can give him a late birthday present this weekend and secure all 3 points.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after turning 49 on Wednesday, the gaffer was honest about how difficult a game it will be, but he knows we have enough in our locker to put a dent into their season.

'Everton have had a solid start. He has made some really astute signing which has improved his team. They have started well. But I'm hoping Everton are coming down to The Hawthorns expecting a difficult game as well because that is what we aim to do, make it really difficult for them.'

Going to be an interesting test, but we've had a good start ourselves so can certainly go into the game looking to take something from it.
