Keith Downing has praised Steve Clarke's rotation and the performance of the players following the Yeovil victory.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Downing said it was a brave decision to rotate so many players for the clash, but their performances more than justified the decision.
'We knew with the start they've had in the league it was going to be a difficult one and we're pleased to get through it. We've got bumps and bruises and has six or seven players unavailable, there isn't anything too serious, it was wise for them to stay at home and we have a strong squad. We've got some strength in depth, some players needed a game and thought they stepped up to the plate really well.'
Downing also spoke briefly about Markus Rosenberg.
'He can player anywhere across the front three. He came in late, he might be down in terms of match practice but you've seen signs he has some quality. We're pleased with Markus.'
As for the doubts for this weekend, Downing added.
'I don't think Peter is far away, we'll assess him nearer the weekend, but it's not a serious one. Lukaku has a training ground injury, he won't be far away. Jerome's injured at the moment and hasn't figured for the last few weeks. He's just on the treatment table trying to get fit.'
