Clarke - We Deserved To Share The Points

Steve Clarke has said he thinks a draw was a fair result today against Spurs.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the 1-1 draw, Clarke said he was pleased with the fight and determination the team showed to claw their way back into the game after going behind.

'I was really pleased with the players. We spoke at half time about them believing in themselves and they did. It would've been a travesty if we'd lost. But we kept going, showed great belief and created chances.'

Clarke continued to talk about the start to our season, and he said he hopes that a return of four points from a possible six with enthuse both the fans and the team about what we are capable of this season.

'It's a good start and it should give the players confidence.'

Start with Lukaku Mr. Clarke (still miss you at Chelsea, as a player and a no. 2 but you had to grow and all the best.)

He's having a good impact from the bench at the moment, don't think it'll be long before he starts though. Sounds like Clarke was really held in some esteem mate.
