Reid Dismisses Relegation Talk

Steven Reid has said that the Albion squad is stronger than ever, and that people are drawing the wrong conclusions following the departure of Roy Hodgson.

Speaking to the E&S after a number of pundits tipped us to go down, Reid dismissed their pessimism.

'We believe in the squad and in each other. With the old gaffer leaving and Steve Clarke getting his first job as a manager, people have drawn a few conclusions. But we look stronger this season, especially in forward positions. The squad is looking strong, as we saw against Liverpool, and we're confident we can have a good season.'

In our poll only 7% thought we would finish in the relegation places, so no doubt, if we can continue with the form we showed against Liverpool - and yes there will be blips - the pundits will soon be changing their minds.
