Youssouf Mulumbu has drawn a line under the summer shenanigans by declaring he's never felt happier at the club.
Speaking to wba.co.uk as he begins his fourth season at the club, the midfielder said.
'Every morning when I come into training, I am happy. The new gaffer wants to play football, I have a smile on my face, and I know the Birmingham area. I'm happy at West Brom and I hope they are happy with me. I feel comfortable with this team.'
Mulumbu also talks about his belief that he will be a better player this season now he feels the pressure is off, and he can with more freedom. This seems a common theme with Mulumbu when talking about his confidence, and playing his natural game instead of second guessing himself as he talked at length last season about this when his form was questioned.
As for the inevitable twitter aspects and other interviews that caused controversy over the summer, he added that it had been blown out of context and he was misquoted.
'A journalist asked me 'what am I going to do next season?' and I said that there was some interest in me, but I never said I was talking to anyone. He asked me for some examples of clubs that were interested and I answered who I thought were interested, He then wrote something else that I never said, it was never the case that I wanted to leave. It was a misunderstanding, when you see me training and playing, I won't change. I give everything for the team.'
Simple then really, never again speak to that journalist or the media outlet. Can't happen again then can it.
