Clarke Happy With The Squad

Clarke Happy With The Squad

Steve Clarke has said although the club are working behind the scenes on more possible captures, he wouldn't be upset to start the season with the players he has.

Speaking to wba.co.uk from Clarke's words it sounds like potential deals he might want have stalled, or at least aren't going as smoothly as they would like, but I'd be surprised if we don't see another couple of additions before the close of the window as the enw head coach will still be wanting to stamp his mark on the team if nothing else.

'We're looking all over to see if we can bring people in to improve the squad, but if I had to start the season with this squad, I would be happy. I know I've got enough.'

Clarke continues to talk about the club's performance over the last two seasons, so he knows these players are capable of pushing for a top half finish, and with our latest signing, Claudio Yacob impressing on his debut, Clarke seems pretty confident we can give that a good go.

'He looked good to me, comfortable. He's a good passer of the ball and put one fantastic pass in for Simon Cox. Come August 18, I would think he'll be up to full speed.'
