Clarke To Experiment For Copenhagen Trip

Clarke To Experiment For Copenhagen Trip

Steve Clarke has said he won't be afraid to experiment with the squad as pre season plans out, so we can expect some changes for tonight's 6pm BST kick off against FC Copenhagen.

Speaking to wba.co.uk the new head coach hinted that he might make several changes as he looks to assess the whole squad ahead of the campaign, and he also said he's prepared to look at different formations to suit different opponents.

>'You've got to look at the players available and the opposition. Then you have to weigh up what's best for your team against certain opposition and then decide what best suits you in terms of the personnel you have. We knew Malmo would play 442 or 4411 and Copenhagen will probably play something similar but I want to see our shape and players to see how they fit certain systems. You have to be prepared for all eventualities. We played one way against Malmo, we'll try something slightly different tonight.'

How different is open to debate, but we'll find out in about an hour or so.
